Music Director: Douglas Yeo
was named Music Director of the New England Brass Band in 1998. Bass trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1985, Mr. Yeo is an enthusiastic music educator, writer, arranger and supporter of the music culture in New England and the world. His encouragement of amateur musical groups began with a two-year tenure as a high school band director and later as a clinician with high school and college groups.
Douglas Yeo holds a bachelor of music degree (with honor) from Wheaton College and received his master's degree from New York University. He has been a
soloist with many groups including the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestras, the Baltimore Symphony, as well as the New York Staff Band of the Salvation Army and Britain's Fodens (Brass) Band. In 1996 he
recorded his best-selling solo album, "Proclamation," accompanied by England's famous Black Dyke Mills Band. With British tenor trombonist Nick Hudson he collaborated in a second solo recording with
brass band, "Two of a Mind" accompanied by the Williams Fairey Band. His other critically acclaimed solo recordings include "Take 1," and "Cornerstone" in addition to "Le Monde du
Serpent" in which he explores the musical history of one of music's most exotic instruments, the serpent.
Mr. Yeo has been involved extensively in teaching both at New England Conservatory of Music and Boston University. Internationally, he has been a
guest lecturer, teacher and artist, at the Royal Northern Academy of Music in Manchester, England, Harvard University and the Hamamatsu (Japan) Wind Festival and Seminar.
Mr. Yeo has authored dozens of articles on the trombone and orchestral playing, many of which may be found in his award-winning website (www.yeodoug.com). Southern Music, G.
Schirmer and International Music publish his many arrangements of music for trombone and brass ensemble. Mr. Yeo's wife is an active member and his two daughters are past members of the New England Brass Band.

Concert Master and Assistant Conductor: Terry Everson is a
world-renowned trumpet soloist, active as performer, educator, composer/arranger and church musician. In 1988, he won both the Baroque/Classical and 20th Century categories of the Ellsworth Smith International Trumpet Competition, and was First Prize laureate of the 1990 Louise D. McMahon International Music Competition.
Mr. Everson has premiered works by major composers and has produced two complete recordings of notable modern works, as well as single entries on two discs devoted to the works of Davison and Krzywicki. He
has also recorded as soloist with the Lexington Brass Band and the Eastern Wind Symphony.
Mr. Everson is currently teaching at the Boston University School of Music, and at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Prior to
coming to Boston he was Principal Trumpet of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Solo Cornet of the Lexington Brass Band. His extensive concert experience includes appearances with the Boston
Symphony and Pops, Boston Ballet, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Kentucky Jazz Repertory Orchestra, Chestnut Brass Company, Ray Charles, Manhattan Transfer, and as conductor of the Boston University and the
University of Kentucky Trumpet Ensembles in various venues, including two international brass conferences.
